About Me

My approach to helping people first begins with establishing a caring and understanding relationship. Within a compassionate context, I listen carefully, ask great questions, and begin to make sense of what has been confusing or problematic for individuals, and while I understand facing problems or situations may be extremely painful and difficult, I realize that often great emotional suffering stems from those very issues. By treating people with dignity and kindness and addressing those painful circumstances, healing can be experienced.

My free time is spent with people I love, among whom are my two adult children, one who is a physician and one who is a counselor. As a person deeply committed to my spiritual faith, I am actively involved in my church.  I am also an avid tennis player.
